The Senior Field Testing Technician role provides quality assurance/quality control client services on assigned field projects for construction materials and building components per ASTM, ACI, building code standards and\or project control documents. This role requires that a detail record of observations, inspections and test results be maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and execute written and verbal instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) testing on construction materials and conduct field observations in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
  • Identify and communicate non-conforming test results, observations, or conditions to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and related documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit detailed daily field reports documenting testing activities, results, and field observations.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and verification of assigned testing equipment in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
  • Safely transport, operate, and maintain nuclear density gauge equipment in compliance with company radiation safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism while working in both field and office environments.

Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least four years of experience in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • ACI Level I Certification
  • ICC Soils Special Inspector Certification a plus
  • Radiation safety training for the use of nuclear density gauges a plus
  • NICET certification a plus.
  • High level of competency in the ability to read plans and specifications.
